President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Wednesday inaugurated Ayobami Oyalowo and other members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), stating that the party is ready and united to renew its covenant with Nigerians ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Hon. Oyalowo was named as one of the presidential campaign spokespersons, serving alongside Dele Alake, who leads the team as well as Alwan Hassan, Kemi Asekun-Shittu, Adamu Fanda, Mohammed Garba and Bala Ibrahim,
Oyalowo’s appointment to the campaign council is part of a broader representation of Oyo State in the APC’s 2027 campaign structure.
Raye24newsonline, report that the campaign spokespersons have been tasked with interpreting the President’s policies and explaining how those policies have improved the lives of average Nigerians.
Oyalowo was specifically designated as “Presidential Campaign Spokesperson II,” underscoring his role as a key media voice for the campaign.
Oyalowo has not been shy about defending the Tinubu administration in the public sphere.
As Oyalowo assumes his new role as one of the chief messengers of the APC’s 2027 campaign, he will be tasked with communicating the administration’s achievements and making the case for President Tinubu’s re-election.
The President himself framed the campaign as a covenant with the Nigerian people. “The APC is ready. We have not gathered merely to inaugurate a council; we have gathered to renew a covenant,” Tinubu said at the inauguration.
The campaign is set to officially kick off in Kaduna on October 24, with Oyalowo and his fellow spokespersons expected to hit the ground running as the race for 2027 intensifies.
