The Executive Chairman of Niger Foods Security system and Logistics Company Limited, Mr. Sammy Adigun, has reaffirmed the company’s readiness to support farmers in Karkara district, provided they are granted access to available farmlands.
Speaking during a courtesy visit led by the Hakimi of Karkara accompanied by his village heads area of Wushishi local government Mallam Umar Ibrahim, in minna. the Chairman explained that Niger Foods is committed to transforming idle and underutilized lands into productive agricultural estates that will not only feed communities but also create jobs, increase household income, and strengthen food security across Niger State. He stressed that land is the foundation of agricultural prosperity, and by working hand in hand with local leaders, his company if given access .

Mr. Adigun further assured that Niger Foods will fully explore the vast agricultural potential of Karkara by investing in mechanization, irrigation systems, and crop diversification to maximize productivity. He noted that the company’s agribusiness model is designed to integrate smallholder farmers into larger value chains, providing them with opportunities to process, package, and market their produce both locally and regionally. According to him, this initiative will not only unlock the hidden wealth in rural areas but also turn Karkara into a model community where agriculture drives sustainable development.
Earlier,Hakimi of karkara Mallam Umar Ibrahim expressed strong support for Niger Foods drive to expand farmlands and empower farmers in the state.
He assured that karkara district would support the allocation of farmland for agricultural estates and collaborate with Niger foods in mobilizing farmers, youth,and women for full participation in the initiative.
