The Executive Chairman of Afikpo Local Government Area, Nwachi Timothy A.U., has sworn in High Chief Idris Uro Nwachi as Secretary of Afikpo Local Government Education Authority. The swearing-in ceremony, which took place on Monday at the Afikpo Local Government Headquarters, was attended by stakeholders, and a large crowd of family members, friends and well-wishers of the new appointee.

The appointment of Chief Idris Uro Nwachi as Secretary, Afikpo Local Government Education Authority, is seen as a strategic move by the Council Chairman to reposition the education sector. The new Education Secretary is a seasoned teacher with the experience and capacity to take education in Afikpo Local Government Area to an enviable height.

Charge to the New Secretary
In his remarks, the Executive Chairman, NWACHI, Timothy A.U., charged the newly sworn-in Education Secretary to align himself with the policy thrust of Governor Nwifuru’s administration, aimed at delivering quality and functional education and making it accessible to all school-aged children in the state.
The Council Chairman congratulated the new Education Secretary on his meritorious appointment and called on stakeholders to join hands with the government in bringing back the standard of education in the area.
