A strong endorsement has emerged within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebonyi State for the lawmaker representing Ebonyi North Senatorial District, Senator Onyekachi Nwebonyi, following an extensive inspection of projects across parts of the state.

Speaking on behalf of the party leadership, the APC State Chairman, Stanley Emegha, described the senator’s performance as “exceptional and verifiable,” citing the scale and impact of completed projects inspected during the tour.

Emegha, who led party stakeholders on the tour, expressed surprise at the volume of completed infrastructure, noting that what was initially planned as an inspection of ongoing projects turned largely into commissioning exercises.

“I had expected to inspect projects under construction; instead, we are commissioning completed ones. The reward for good work is more work,” he said.

He added that the senator’s achievements within a relatively short period reflect capacity and alignment with the APC’s development agenda, subtly indicating growing political support for his continuity in office ahead of the 2027 general elections.

“If he has delivered this much within a short period, then entrusting him with more responsibility is justified. Ultimately, the people will decide, but performance of this nature speaks volumes,” Emegha stated.

In his response, Senator Nwebonyi who doubles as the Senate Chief whip, emphasised that effective representation must go beyond legislative duties to include visible development at the grassroots.

“When laws do not translate into solutions for the people, they become mere academic exercises,” he said.

He explained that his intervention projects are targeted at bridging infrastructural gaps in rural communities, complementing government efforts while addressing immediate needs.

The senator highlighted key achievements to include road construction, distribution of vehicles to empower youths and farmers, installation of solar-powered streetlights, provision of classroom blocks, and water projects across communities.

He assured constituents of continued development, pledging sustained focus on infrastructure, agriculture and human capital development.

“The best is yet to come,” he added.
