The true test of the caliber and potentialities of an elected representative of a
people is in the style, action or inaction of the entrusted office holder.
And the first few months of assumption into office, gives a bird’s eye view, or
signal about the capabilities or otherwise, of the officer under assessment and
focus.
And this gives a leeway for an electorate to decide on the fate and chances of an
elected officer, in a future election – a referendum on his popularity rating or score card.
And these tallies with the maxim that says, “the prospect of a good Friday,
manifests as from a Wednesday, and the taste of the pudding, is in the eating”.
The above axiomatic statements, hold true, for a sagacious and celebrated,
representative of Billiri-Balanga Federal Constituency, from Gombe South,
Senatorial District of Gombe State, Right Honorable, Dr. Ali Isa JC.
The distinguished representative, has been weighed in the balances, and subjected to critical assessment, and found worthy of re-endorsement based on his intimidating profile, developmental track records, trailblazing streaks, unsurpassed performances as well as, philanthropic overtures, good human relationship,
visionary outlook, and above all, his non-stop, or around the clock working
mentality.
The federal law-maker, has invariably, turned out to be a reference point, for
understudying foot-prints and magical wands for making a miracle, especially by non-performing representatives.
Already, he has proved that he is ahead of the game and on top of the competition, by dwarfing and outshining his counterparts here and there.
Representative Ali Isa JC, has carved a niche for unsurpassed developmental
strides, provision of dividends of democracy and good governance, or excellent delivery of impactful and life-changing projects.
And happily become me a house-hold name, because of his inspiring and
outstanding scorecard, that has almost changed the dynamics and mantra of the geographical entity called, Billiri-Balanga Federal Constituency.
The hall-mark and foot-prints of the progressive Law-Maker in Billiri Local
Government in terms of health care-delivery in particular, is crystal clear, even to a doubting Thomas.
The Collaborative efforts between him and appropriate government and nongovernmental agencies, brought about the establishment of a magnificent cottage
hospital in Tal, proposed headquarters, of Billiri-West local government
development area.
The people’s choice also single-handedly, sponsored a bill for the establishment of
an orthopedic hospital in Billiri town, which president Bola Ahmed Bola, has
graciously assented to it.
It is heart-warming that the political landscape of the area under discourse is now dotted with soul-lifting and attractive structures and edifies of delight. Hence,
shooting the area to limelight and prominence.
These include, building or renovation of schools, provision of bore-holes and solar
panels, empowerment and loan facilities, scholarship schemes and even
construction of access roads, linking some communities in the area.
In essence, he has brought smiles to the faces of the constituents, hence, making
them proud, or on top of the world!
For example, when operational, the proposed Billiri orthopedic hospital, will be a turning point and watershed for the people of the locality especially because of the derelict or deplorable condition of the premier health facility in the area (Billiri general hospital-which is considered as an eye sore or pathetic story or even a
nightmare).
The proposed cutting edge or state of the art facility, and the array of qualified
medical personnel and specialists to be deployed to man it, would remarkably,
upgrade the status of the town, in addition to making it a referral Center of
excellence, or put differently, a case of a grass to grace, transformation in a twinkle
of an eye.
And this lends credence to the popular agitations for drafting Right, Hon. Dr. Ali
Isa JC, for a possible governorship project in the state, come 2027.
The clock seems to be ticking in favor of a tested politician, achiever, performer
and a credible aspirant, destined to bring glory to the state, now or in the very near future.
But what is not quite certain at the moment, is whether or not, the people’s choice,
is well disposed to the hearkening and clarion calls to take a shot, at the exalted
seat of a governor.
Either way, the political crown holder, remains a formidable force to reckon with,
at whatever level of engagement involving him.
Needles to add that, he is a darling and magnet, gravitating people to his chest. or put differently, an indispensable and tested hand, always at the beck and calling of the constituents.
And this gives him a pride of place, in the hall of fame or even a Guinness book of
records.
