In pursuant of his constitutional mandate, the Chief Judge of Ebonyi State, Hon Justice Elvis Anegu Ngene on Thursday visited the Nigeria Correctional Center, Afikpo Custodial Center on jail delivery.
Justice Ngene who during the exercise granted bail to 2 inmates charged them to go home and sin no more as their energies and skills could be channeled into more productive ventures for the betterment of the Society.

After the exercise, the Chief Judge in the Company of his brother Judges,learned magistrates and members of the Bar paid a familiarization visit to the Executive Chairman of Afikpo Local Government Area,NWACHI, Timothy A. U at his Unwana Residence.
Speaking ,the CJ who scored the Council Chairman high in the area of Security, appreciated him immensely for mobilizing security personnel to safeguard the property of the Court in Afikpo.

He assured him that the judiciary will continue to partner with the Local Government and other critical stakeholders in the administration of Justice
In response, the Executive Chairman of Afikpo Local Government Area,NWACHI, Timothy A. U expressed his joy for the visit of the Chief Judge and promised to always provide a conducive atmosphere in Afikpo for the Judiciary to dispense Justice without any hiccups of any kind.

The Council Chairman Who described the Judiciary as the last hope of the common man, applauded the State Governor,His Excellency,Rt Hon Builder Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for his trail blazing leadership that recognizes the importance of each arm of government and implored Judicial Officers to remain undistracted and dispassionate in the discharge of their statutory duties.
