It is with deep sorrow in our hearts ,the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists,NAWOJ FCT Chapter mourns the sudden death of our beloved former Secretary, Ogonna Umeham.
Prophetess Ogonnaya Umeham who passed away on Friday 20th December, 2024 after a protracted illness was the News Editor of Weekenders magazine and former staff of Daily Times Newspapers
This shocking news came to fore as the Chapter is still grieving over the death of another member and leader,Rafat Salami that happened early hours of same day.
On behalf of the Chairperson, Bassey Ita Ikpang, the Executive and entire members of NAWOJ FCT, we extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends, of our dear sister, Ogonnaya as we pray God to grant her eternal rest,
Indeed, NAWOJ FCT has lost an exceptional sister, whose contribution and wealth of experience in the profession will be missed. She had also served as Assistant Secretary NAWOJ FCT, as well as Secretary of the Credentials Committee NAWOJ delegates Conference in the election at Kano where Asabe Baba emerged President.
Further details of her burial will be duly communicated as the family announce it.
