NAWOJ Former President, Evelyn Onyilo Buries Mother Appreciates Friends & Colleagues.

The Publisher Phenomenal People Magazine, Ms Evelyn Onyilo Buries Mother, Expresses Gratitude for Support and Prayers by Well wishers.

All roads led to Otukpo, Benue State 6th October 2022, as the Publisher of Phenomenal People Magazine and former NAWOJ President Evelyn Onyilo buried her aged mother, Late Mama Onma Naomi Onyilo.

The event was attended by colleagues, associates, family and friends of the Onyilo family. Among the delegation from Abuja was the Chairman NUJ FCT Council Emmanuel Ogbeche and Chaiperson NAWOJ FCT Anne Daniel.
Prominent kinsmen of the late Mama Onma Onyilo present include Former Vice Chancellor Nasarawa State University Professor Shamsudeen Amali and his wife Prof Ebele Amali, brother Professor Idris Amali of the Federal University, Lafia and his wife Prof Halima Amali as well as Abuja based businessman King Mohammed Adah Ode (Ochacho).

Speaking after the Funeral Service held at the Norcross Methodist Church Cathedral Otukpo, Ms Evelyn Onyilo expressed her gratitude “to friends, family, relations, professional colleagues, women groups, Church members, men and women of God as well as community elders and leaders who have stood by us, prayed with us and supported us through calls, financial and moral support before and after the passing of Mama to eternal glory.”

She said, “Your invaluable support is highly appreciated. God bless and replenish you all a million times and more. On behalf of all Mama’s Family we are eternally grateful. May God’s grace continue to be sufficient for you all. We specially thank everyone that honoured Mama with their presence at the funeral. God will honour you all.”

In her condolence message, Women Affairs Minister Dame Pauline Tallen urged the family to draw strength from the good times shared and take consolation from God and prayed for the repose of Mama’s soul.

Similarly the Director General National Centre for Women Development, Dr Asabe Vilita Bashir described the late Mama Onma Naomi Onyilo as a great mother and community leader who dedicated her life to the service of God and humanity. She prayed for comfort for the family.

The President National Council for Women’s Societies Hajiya Lami Adamu Lau, NAWOJ President Ladi Bala and NUJ FCT Council Chairman Emmanuel Ogbeche also sent Condolence messages praying for the repose of Mama’s soul.

Mama Onma Naomi Onyilo died at the ripe age of 90 on 7th September 2022 at the Federal Medical Centre Jabi, Abuja and was buried in her home town Upu Village, Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State on the 7th of October 2022. She’s survived by five biological children, 14 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
