The Director-General and Founder of the Luke Chibueze Adonwe Human (LACH) Foundation, Barr. Luke Chibueze Adonwe, on Saturday unveiled an ambitious humanitarian mission aimed at uplifting the most vulnerable across Ebonyi State and beyond.

The grand unveiling and fundraising ceremony, held at Virginland Hotels and Suites, Abakaliki, attracted political leaders, clergy, academics, industry players, civil society groups, and beneficiaries whose lives have been transformed through Adonwe’s interventions.

Speaking with humility and deep spiritual reflection, Adonwe said the foundation was inspired by an awareness of human fragility and God’s abundant grace.

“He who is able today may be disabled tomorrow,” he said. “Some people are buying oxygen to breathe, yet God gives it to you and me free of charge. How much can we thank Him for what He has done?”

He described the LACH Foundation as “a beacon of hope, dignity, justice, and compassionate service,” founded on the conviction that every human life is sacred and deserves protection, empowerment, and dignity.

Adonwe traced his humanitarian drive to his university days, when he wrote his thesis on the rights of the unborn child an early commitment that has shaped his legal and advocacy work.

He highlighted several verified interventions that reflect the foundation’s mission, including: Securing the release of Mr. Nwogbodo Nwinya, abandoned in prison over a family disagreement. Rescuing and rehabilitating Ms. Mary Ezaka, who lived for 12 months in abandonment and was presumed mentally unstable. The foundation facilitated medical treatment, provided an apartment, and now pays her a monthly stipend. Recovering the newborn of Ms. Philomina Iroko, who was forcibly taken and sold. Through legal action, the foundation reunited mother and child and continues to support their welfare.

“We exist to uplift the vulnerable, comfort the abandoned, empower the disadvantaged, and defend the oppressed one life at a time,” he reaffirmed.

Adonwe also announced that a day before the event, the foundation conducted a free medical outreach at Ominyi Development Centre, benefiting hundreds.

He emphasized that LACH is not a political platform but a moral and spiritual response to societal suffering.

“Today is more than an event. It is a celebration of compassion and our shared humanity. We rise only when we lift others,” he said.

Guests at the event commended Adonwe for translating compassion into impactful service.

Hon. Ike Innocent, Chairman of the Occasion, commended the founder’s courage: “Embarking on such a humanitarian mission is not easy. We pray God strengthens and protects him.”

Chief Stephen Ebere Nwogba, Executive Chairman of Abakaliki LGA, described the foundation as a timely intervention in a society yearning for compassion.

“You are a lawyer and a pastor. God will guide you always,” he said, pledging support.

Prof. Clement Okechukwu Mgbada, Head of the Department of History and International Relations, EBSU, said Adonwe’s work “has sown a seed that will outlive him,” describing the vision as spiritually inspired.

One of the most emotional testimonies came from Shadrack Nwibo, who recalled being rescued by Adonwe in 2011 after being wrongly arrested with other teenagers.

“He didn’t collect a kobo. Today I am a business owner supporting this foundation. God will bless him,” he said.

Chief Edwin Nkwuda, President of Ndungele Indigenous Forum, revealed that Adonwe’s humanitarian legacy had earned him an upcoming chieftaincy title. “This unveiling only formalizes what he has been doing quietly for years,” he noted.

Other supporters including chief Unyia Efor general manager radio Nigeria unity FM Abakaliki, Dr. Wealth Akudo of federal teaching hospital,Abakaliki, an entrepreneur Emmanuel Ezeh, partners, and associates pledged training opportunities, industrial cleaning services for LACH facilities, and community mobilization to advance the foundation’s mission.
