Taraba State Governor Kefas has constitute a committee to recover the state movable and none movable assets belonging to the state.

In a statement signed by the Secretary to the state government, Barrister Timothy Gibon Kattaps said that the committee has Rtd Major-General Habila Vintenaba as chairman and Prof. Mahmud Hamid Umar (TSU) to serve as Member/secretary of the committee.
According to a statement, the committee would submit its reports within four (4) weeks of its take-off.
The committee members includes, Rtd Major-General Habila Vintenaba -chairman, Rtd Colonel Nwunuke Agyo -Member and Rtd Navy Captain Atiku Bakari -Member. Others are, Chief of Staff, Government House -Member, Nominee of the State House of Assembly -Member, Nominee of the State Auditor-General -Member, Nominee of the State Accountant-General -Member, Nominee of the National Assembly -Member, Nominee of the State Ministry of Justice -Member, Nominee of the State PDP -Member, Mrs Fatima Hassan -Member, Mr. Saleh Aji -Member, Nomination from the Office of SSG -Member while Prof. Mahmud Hamid Umar (TSU) -Member/secretary.
Parts of the statement reads, “The Committee will operate under the following terms of reference;
Ascertain the number of moveable and immoveable assets in Kaduna including the Liaison Office, Lagos Liaison office, Abuja Liaison Office, Central Business District, Abuja and any part of Federal Capital Territory.
“Ascertain the location of moveable and immoveable assets of the Government of Taraba State in any other part of Nigeria.
“Make an overall assessment of the economic/monetary value of each asset.
Determine the suitability of usage of each asset by the State Government.
Generally make appropriate recommendations to the State Government”.
Similarly,the Executive Governor of Taraba State,Dr Agbu Kefas has approved the appointments of, Hon Emmanuel Bello-Special Adviser On Media and Digital Communications and Mr Geoffrey Tafida-Principal Private Secretary To The Governor.
In a statement signed by the Chief Secretary to the governor, Yusuf Sanda said both appointments are with immediate effect.
