The Zamfara state governor, Dauda Lawal has received the report of the transition committee in a brief ceremony held at the Government House council chamber Gusau.
Speaking during the event, the governor said his administration will implement the recommendations of the committee in line with the rescue mission of the government.
Governor Dauda further reiterated the determination of his administration to revitalise all sectors of the economy in the state. He said all his campaign promises would be fulfilled.
He further disclosed that the state government has reduced the state ministries from 28 to 16 to save running cost of governance.
He thanked members of the committee for performing an excellent job and pledged to holistically implement the recommendation one by one.
He called on the people of Zamfara state to be patient with his administration as government is doing everything humanly possible to raise the living standard of the masses of Zamfara state.
Speaking earlier, the chairman of the committee, IGP MD Abubakar( rtd) said the committee did its best to come up with far reaching recommendations for the benefit of the state.
He said the report of the committee consisted of of four parts such as administration, economy, social welfare and environment. He urged government to study the report with a view to implementing it for the overall interest of the state.
MD Abubakar thank the state government for given the opportunity to serve the state.
