A groundbreaking initiative, “Green Time,” has been unveiled to promote wildlife conservation finance and sustainable environmental practices. With the theme “Wildlife Conservation Finance: Investing in People and Climate,”
Speaking in a preparatory meeting ahead of the program,Dr Charity Akpomgbo,Coordinator of the FCT Tourism Volunteers Network said, the initiative seeks to create awareness, foster strategic discussions, and drive action toward conservation efforts in Nigeria.

She explained that the program is expected to positively impact people and communities urging all stakeholders and volunteers to actively participate in any given tasks and contribute innovative ideas to expand the program.
Unveiling the various activities lined out Dr. Akpomgbo said the
Green Time is a collaboration between the National Park Service, Icherry Travels and Global Concept Ltd and the Tourism Volunteers initiative for Sustainable Development.
She said, it will take place on Monday, March 3rd at 10:00 AM at the National Park Service Abuja.
She noted that the program will feature panel discussions, video clips on wildlife, a guided tour, arts exhibitions, and a quiz competition and expected dignitaries at the landmark event include the Minister of Environment, Malam Balarabe Abbas-Lawal; Minister of Tourism, Art, and Culture, Hon. Minister Hannatu Musa Musawa, Esq.; and distinguished senators chairing committees on ecology, climate change, and tourism.

Other notable attendees include the Inspector General of Police, conservation experts, and tourism stakeholders.
She explained that the program which will focus on youth engagement, climate action, and sustainable conservation finance will make a lasting impact by empowering the next generation to take charge of environmental protection and wildlife conservation.
She called on all Stakeholders , environmentalists, and conservation enthusiasts to bring their wealth of experience to bear and make a significant impact in promoting wildlife conservation finance in Nigeria.
She also encouraged the various team leads and volunteers to intensify their efforts towards ensuring a successful program.
