The family prayed that Almighty Allah would abundantly reward her for her sacrifices and dedication.
The statement extended the family’s gratitude to the people of the Igala Kingdom, Kogi State and Nigerians across the country who visited, attended the burial, offered prayers, sent condolence messages or supported the family in various ways.
The family also acknowledged the Ibro political family, traditional and religious leaders, members of the Idris family, friends, associates and colleagues who remained steadfast in their support throughout the mourning period.
According to the family, the turnout of mourners and the support received from people who travelled from far and near helped ensure that the late former governor received a befitting final farewell.
“Your presence, prayers, kind words and support brought comfort and strength to our family at a difficult time,” the family said.
While acknowledging that it might not be possible to thank everyone individually, the family assured all those who supported them that their kindness would remain deeply appreciated and remembered.
The Idris family prayed for Allah’s blessings and rewards upon everyone who stood by them, while asking the Almighty to grant their beloved father eternal rest.
