IWD 2025 : CBW-Africa Set for International Summit

As part of its activities to commemorate the 2025 International Women’s Day, the Commonwealth Business Women- Africa (CBW- Africa) has concluded arrangements to host its International Summit in Nigeria’s Commercial Capital, Lagos.

The event which will be bringing together stakeholders from within and outside Africa, is scheduled to hold between the 8th – 11th March 2025 at the prestigious Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.

The Summit which has as its theme, Synergies for Sustainable Prosperity: Uniting Trade, Health, Wellness, Technological Advancement and Clean Energy Solutions in Africa will bring together leaders, policy makers, entrepreneurs and advocates from across 28 member Countries to engage in meaningful discussions and collaborative efforts focused on sustainable development across the Continent.

A statement by the President of the Commonwealth Business Women- Africa Mrs. Ngozi Oyewole indicated that the Summit will be held under the Distinguished Kenyan Entrepreneur and Philantrophist Nana Wanjau as Chairperson.

The First Lady of Lagos State, Her Excellency, Dr Mrs Ibijoke Claudiana Sanwo-Olu will be the Special Guest of Honour.

Also to grace the event, are their strategic partners, the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, led by the DG Mr Segun Ajayi- Kadir mni, the Nigeria Investment Promotion Commission led by The Executive Secretary madam Aisha Rimi, as well as MALPAI foundation led by Hajiya Aisha Bagudu.

Among those to feature as Speakers are, the Iyalode of Lagos, Alhaja Bintu Fatima Tinubu and Madam Funlayo Bakare – Okeowo, Vice President, Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
