IWD 2025 : Nigerian Youths Hail Senator Remi Tinubu…Comrade Okorie C. Okorie

As the world marks and celebrate the International Women’s Day, the Nigeria Youth Organisation (NYO) has hailed wife of the President and First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Remi Tinubu for what they describe as her patriotic engagement in various initiatives and programs aimed at promoting social welfare and community development.

The National Executive President of the Nigeria Youth Organisation (NYO), Comrade Okorie C. Okorie, in a statement in Abuja extolled the following achievements of Senator Remi Tinubu, including Women Empowerment initiatives aimed at empowering women through skills training, entrepreneurship, and advocacy for their rights, promoting gender equality and economic independence.

The NYO President further stated that the First Lady’s milestones include Child Welfare and Education Programmes aimed at supporting children’s education, including scholarships, school supplies, and health initiatives focused on maternal and child health.

Also highlighted in the Statement is her efforts in creating Health Awareness Campaigns
through efforts to improve public health awareness, particularly around issues like maternal and child health, nutrition, and preventive healthcare.

NYO President, Okorie emphasized that “young persons in Nigeria also appreciate the First Lady’s Youth Development Projects designed to engage youth through skills development, mentorship programs, and opportunities for entrepreneurship”.

The statement by Okorie C. Okorie is also anchored on the First Lady’s Community Development initiatives aimed at improving infrastructure and living conditions in communities, including sanitation and access to clean water.

Other notable achievement according to the NYO President entails Cultural Promotion, which are activities that celebrate Nigerian culture and heritage, promoting national identity and unity.

These initiatives reflect her commitment to addressing social issues and enhancing the quality of life for Nigerians.
