Maulud Nabiy : NAWOJ Felicitates With Muslims, Offer Prayers for Gallant Soldiers

The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) felicitates with the Muslim Umma in Nigeria and around the globe on this auspicious Celebration of the Malaud Nabiy. And also offered special prayers for gallant Soldiers battling insurgencies.

The association urged the general public to emulate the lifestyle of the celebrant, Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) by upholding the exemplary character of uprightness, love, compassion and peaceful coexistence among people, which are also imbedded in the tenets of the Moslem faith.

Comrade Aisha Ibrahim, the National Chairperson of NAWOJ stated this in a Press Release signed by Wasilah Ladan, National Secretary and made available to the Press.

Aisha Ibrahim called on the Muslim Umma to promote the teachings and life of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) which include the promotion of unity, peace, harmony, prosperity and hospitality and good neighbourliness in everyday human existence.

The NAWOJ boss also urges members to be good ambassadors in all spheres of human endeavour by treating people with love, affection and utmost respect, stating that these virtues are key to living the dream Nigeria.

“As today marks the birthday of our Noble Prophet Muhammad S.A.W, NAWOJ prays for peace to reign in our local communities, the society and nation at large”.


In the same breath, we also pray for our gallant soldiers who are out there battling with bandits to quell the challenge and surge of insecurity in our nation. While we urge them not to rest on their oars in their noble service to humanity, it is our sincere prayer that Nigeria becomes a peaceful and safe place to be.” The National Chairperson stated.
