The Prestigious Model Secondary School, Maitama held a grand graduation ceremony in honour of the Class of 2025, with the theme “Dare to Dream: Destined to Lead.”

In her welcome address, Dr. Irewole Judith Olure congratulated the students on completing their Senior Secondary School journey describing it as the foundation for future academic and life exploits emphasizing that the graduation ceremony marked not just the conclusion of an academic journey but the commencement of a new and exciting chapters urging them to remain morally upright and to pursue their dreams with boldness and purpose, adding that they are models destined to lead dream big, dream right, and stay focused.”

She stated further that the School has nurtured them to think critically,act responsible and live purposefully both in knowledge and character encouraging them to carry with them values of the school which are Discipline, Diligence and a Desire to make the difference .
Chairman of the Occasion, Prince Emeka, echoed this charge, reminding the graduands to always remember their roots and to represent their families and school with pride wherever they go.

In her inspiring keynote address, the Guest Speaker, Dr. Margaret Adeyeye who represented the Director Secretary FCT Secondary Education Board highlights the importance of having dreams and working intentionally to achieve them. She encouraged them to remain resilient, disciplined, and visionary.
Speaking in their various capacity as headboy and head girl, David Adeoye and Zanjamila Muhammad respectively expressed their appreciation to the school for training them not only towards achieving academic success but putting efforts on their sound morals with attention to their well being . They assure the School Authority that they will not disappoint them by advising the graduands to bear in mind that they are ambassadors of Model Secondary School, Maitama and keep flying the School flag higher.

The Parents of the graduating Students expressed their appreciation to the School management for the discipline and diligence inculcated in their wards promising they will continue they do not deviate from it.
The highlights of the colourful and well attended event was the formal presentation of certificates of responsibility and awards to Prefects among whom is David Adeoye as the headboy, Danjamila Mohammed, Victory Duru ,Assistant Blue Perfect,Paul Aderinola and Goodness Ikechukwu as Sanitation Prefect 1 and 11, Ofei Gracious as Best in Garment Making and also as Assembly Prefect and Onome Treasure Uko as Social Perfect who also emerged as overall Best graduating Student in English Language of CLASS 2025, Adeiza Lawal also emerged Best graduating Student in Mathematics while the Best graduating Student is Ofei Godwin in three subjects namely Fisheries, Geography and Agriculture.
Other awards of excellence was extended to SS 1 and 11 for their outstanding performances in their various subjects. Also honoured is the PTA,Prince Emeka.
The well organized graduation ceremony marked a significant milestone featuring colourful programs such as procession of the graduands, cultural dances, special rendition and cutting of Graduation cake among others.
