NATE to Support People’s Charter of Needs – Honour Works Commissioner

Ebonyi State Commissioner for Works, Engr. Stanley Lebechi Mbam has advised engineers in the State to maintain their professional obligation to solve technical problems, increase efficiency and productivity in the society.

Commissioner Mbam gave the advice while addressing members of the Nigerian Association of Technologists in Engineering (NATE) who were in a courtesy visit to him in his office on Tuesday.

The commissioner who commended Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for his resolute stance to provide relevant amenities for the state saying that the Governor has achieved a lot for the State through Ministry of Works noted that the society depends on Engineering professionals for solving technological problems and enhancing infrastructural advancement.

Engr. Mbam however encouraged the engineers to always show commitment to nation building and assured them of government continued support to make engineers of the state more responsive to their professional obligations.

Earlier, the Chairman, Nigerian Association of Technologists in Engineering (NATE), Ebonyi State chapter, Mr. Sunday Kalu Uta in his mission statement, congratulated Engr. Stanley Lebechi Mbam for his appointment as the commissioner for Works and appreciated Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for his choice of the young commissioner and pledged unwavering support to Ebonyi State Government in advancing technological development of the State through the People’s Charter of Needs policy of the Governor.

Mr. Kalu Uta commended the Governor for his human oriented governance and also thanked him for the conspicuous attention he is given to technicians and engineers in the scheme of his administration. He observed that the Governor as a fellow technician is maintaining the expected standard and pledged cooperation and support to his government.

Highlight of the meeting was a presentation of an award of honour to Commissioner Stanley Lebechi Mbam in recognition of his outstanding performance and contributions to the growth of technology and engineering in Nigeria.
