NAWOJ Delegates Conference: Ladi Bala deserves Second Term

By Ene Oshaba

The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) recently concluded a transformative 3-day Strategic Plan Meeting, and I’m absolutely thrilled to have been a part of this momentous event. During this gathering, we meticulously crafted a comprehensive 5-year working plan that will serve as the bedrock of our endeavors over the next half-decade.

What’s even more exciting is that we had the honor of standing beside our dynamic and endlessly efficient President, Ladi Bala, as she officially picked up her nomination form for re-election. With the current tenure set to conclude in November, you might wonder why we’re fervently backing this leadership team for another term. Here’s why:

Three years of extraordinary leadership, leaving a trail of meaningful impact in its wake.Three years of unwavering dedication to the growth and development of NAWOJ.The historic acquisition of a physical Secretariat office space, a first in the 34-year history of NAWOJ.

The procurement of land in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) for the construction of a permanent site.A series of influential capacity-building workshops benefiting female journalists across all 36 states and the FCT.

In my opinion, the adage “one good turn deserves another” rings true here. The current National Executive deserves a renewed mandate to build upon the remarkable progress we’ve witnessed. The question is, won’t you consider joining the ranks of the victorious? With this team, we’re ushering in a new era of success!
