The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists has extended warm birthday felicitations to Africa’s foremost industrialist, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, GCON, describing him as a symbol of vision, resilience, and transformative leadership.

In a statement issued on April 11, 2026, and signed by its National Secretary, Wasilah Ladan, the association lauded Dangote’s immense contributions to Nigeria’s economic growth and development.
NAWOJ noted that through the Dangote Group, he has not only built a business empire but also created vast employment opportunities, empowered communities, and elevated Nigeria’s global image.
NAWOJ National President, Aisha Ibrahim, emphasized that women journalists across the country particularly appreciate Dangote’s sustained support for initiatives that promote women’s empowerment, job creation, and inclusive national development.
“Your legacy remains a testament to the power of vision backed by decisive action,” the statement read, highlighting his enduring impact on Africa’s industrial landscape.
The association further wished the business mogul good health, renewed strength, and continued success, expressing hope that the years ahead would usher in even greater milestones for him, his family, and the nation at large.
Dangote, widely regarded as one of Africa’s most influential entrepreneurs, continues to inspire generations through his commitment to excellence and socio-economic advancement.
