The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Hajiya Sadiya Ibrahim Ladan, mother of the association’s National Secretary, Comrade Wasilah Ladan, and the Chairperson of the NAWOJ Jigawa State Chapter, Comrade Hauwa Ibrahim Ladan.
In a condolence message issued by the National Secretariat, NAWOJ’s National Chairperson, Aishatu Ibrahim, described the death of the family matriarch as a painful loss, extending heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family on behalf of the National Executive Council and the entire NAWOJ family across the federation.

The association prayed for Almighty Allah (SWT) to forgive the deceased’s shortcomings, accept her good deeds, illuminate and widen her grave, and grant her eternal rest in Al-Jannatul Firdaus.
Aishatu Ibrahim noted that while the loss of a loving mother is a grief that is difficult to bear, the family should take solace in the Islamic belief that every soul shall ultimately return to its Creator.
She also prayed that the cherished memories of Hajiya Sadiya Ibrahim Ladan’s life, kindness and legacy would continue to comfort and strengthen her children and the entire family during this difficult period.
The NAWOJ National Chairperson further prayed for Allah (SWT) to grant the bereaved family Sabr Jameel (beautiful patience), reward them abundantly for their steadfastness, and bless the soul of the late Hajiya Sadiya Ibrahim Ladan with eternal peace in Jannatul Firdaus.
The association concluded its message with the Islamic declaration: “Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Raji’un”—”Indeed, to Allah we belong, and to Him we shall all return.”
