The Executive Director of Weekenders Media Commercial Limited, Publishers of Weekenders Magazine, Princess Joy Omagha Idam, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Hajiya Sadiya Ibrahim Ladan, beloved mother of the National Secretary of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Comrade Wasilah Ladan, and the Chairperson of the NAWOJ Jigawa State Chapter, Comrade Hauwa Ibrahim Ladan.
In a heartfelt condolence message, Princess Idam described the late Hajiya Sadiya Ibrahim Ladan as a devoted mother whose legacy of love, sacrifice and kindness will continue to live in the hearts of her children and all who knew her.
She said the death of a mother is an irreplaceable loss and urged the bereaved family to take solace in the Almighty Allah, who gives and takes life according to His divine will.
“I extend my deepest condolences to my dear sisters, Comrade Wasilah Ladan and Comrade Hauwa Ibrahim Ladan, as well as the entire Ladan family, on this painful loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. May the Almighty Allah grant you the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” she said.
Princess Idam prayed that Almighty Allah (SWT), in His infinite mercy, would forgive the shortcomings of the deceased, accept her good deeds, widen and illuminate her grave, and grant her eternal rest in Al-Jannatul Firdaus.
She further prayed that Allah would bless the family with Sabr Jameel (beautiful patience), comfort them with cherished memories of their beloved mother, and grant them the courage to carry on her enduring legacy.
The Weekenders Magazine Executive Director concluded her message with the Islamic declaration: “Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Raji’un”—Indeed, to Allah we belong, and to Him we shall all return.
