The Ndufu Amagu Community Union in Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State has dismissed recent allegations against the Member representing Ikwo/Ezza-South Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chinedu Ogah describing the claims as baseless, unfounded, and politically motivated.

Speaking with journalists shortly after the Union’s monthly meeting held at Edukwuachi, the ancestral home of Amagu Ikwo, the Youth President, Comrade Iganga Augustine, applauded Hon. Ogah for his exemplary leadership, integrity, and unwavering commitment to community development.

He maintained that the federal lawmaker remains one of the most dedicated public servants in the history of the constituency, adding that his contributions to the socio-economic growth of the area are “visible and verifiable.”

“Any attempt to bring down a man of such integrity will not succeed,” members of the Union declared in unison.

Comrade Augustine condemned what he termed a “campaign of calumny” sponsored by political opponents, calling on those behind the falsehoods to retract their statements and seek reconciliation with the ancestors and youths of the community.

According to him, a young man who left Item Amagu over fifteen years ago was allegedly used to spread malicious information about the lawmaker on social media.

He advised the individual to publicly apologise to Hon. Ogah, warning that continued defamation could attract “the wrath of the gods and ancestors.”

Reaffirming the community’s solidarity with the federal lawmaker, Augustine highlighted Hon. Ogah’s numerous empowerment initiatives, including the distribution of motorcycles and other livelihood tools that have transformed lives across Ikwo/Ezza-South.

Elders, women, and political stakeholders of Ndufu Amagu also condemned the “barbaric” attacks against Hon. Ogah, describing him as a man of “quality leadership and impeccable character” whose vision continues to promote unity, inclusion, and harmony among his people.
