New Pope : Gov Kefas Congratulates Tarabans, Nigerians and Catholic Community

Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas heartily felicitates with the Catholic community in Taraba State, Nigeria, and indeed, all over the world over the successful election of the 267th Pope of the Church.

In a statement signed by the Special Adviser, Media and Digital Communication, Emmanuel Bello describe
Pope Leo XIV (Robert Cardinal Francis Prevost) as widely known for his firm stands in support of social justice and true virtues that make his emergence a pleasant surprise .

The Governor commends the peaceful and quick conduct of the Conclave that led to the emergence of the new Pope in less than two days.

He prays that the political class all over the world will emulate from the conclave experience for its transparency and seriousness.

“The Pope is a leader, not just for the Catholic Church or Christians, but indeed, people of all faiths.

“I understand his papacy will be a tough one considering contemporary realities.

“We would continue to pray that Pope Leo XIV works to unite our fragile world and bridge the ever widening divisions in our world,” he added- he said.
