Niger State Deputy Governor, Comrade Yakubu Garba has felicitated with the Emir of Minna, Dr. Umar Farouq Bahago on his 68th birthday and 37th years of ascending the throne as Emir of Minna.
The Deputy Governor described the traditional ruler as a peace lover who promotes unity and peaceful coexistence.
“On behalf of myself and my family, I heartily felicitate with you on the occasion of your birthday and the anniversary of your ascension on the throne of your forefathers,” he said.
The Deputy Governor also appreciated the efforts of the Emir at ensuring peaceful coexistence amongst his subjects despite the security situation in some parts of his emirate, describing the monarch as a devoted and respected traditional ruler who is always concerned about the wellbeing of his subjects.
He commended the traditional ruler for his continous words of wisdom and advice in ensuring development, as well as peace and security not only in his Emirate but in the state at large.
He equally expressed joy and satisfaction that the reign of His Royal Highness has witnessed peace and tranquillity among diverse groups in the State.
Comrade Garba in the felicitation message said he has observed with keen interest, that despite the cosmopolitan nature of Minna, the Emir has been able to entrench harmonious coexistence among the people irrespective of tribe, religion and political affiliations.
He said the Emir is a leader with vision, who works in the interest of all, and that he has made tremendous contributions to the growth of Minna and the entire state, adding that his passions and efforts towards ensuring that Niger State attains sustainable peace once again will not be forgotten.
“As you mark these milestones, I urge you to continue to lead the people of your Emirate on the path of progress and unity. You have achieved a lot and it is my prayers that the Almighty Allah grants you more strength and wisdom to do more,” said the Deputy Governor.
He wished the celebrant more years, wisdom, good health and a successful reign.
“Your Royal Highness, it is my prayer that this Special day in your life brings you love, happiness, good health, peace and tranquillity not only in your domain but Niger State and Nigeria as a whole,” he said.
