The stakeholders of Shiroro local government Area, under the Standing Committee of Shiroro on Peace, Unity, and Development, have passed a Vote of Confidence on Governor Umaru Mohammed Bago.
The stakeholders made the declaration on Friday at an expanded meeting of present and former political office holders, community leaders, party stalwarts, youth and women representatives at Az-Zahra Lodge, Minna.
The Chairman of the Standing Committee, Prof. Bashar Nuhu Mohammed described Governor Bago as a special friend of Shiroro who deserves all the support of every son and daughter of the local government. while also reaffirming the support and loyalty of the committee and the entire people of Shiroro to the Deputy Governor.
Various speakers at the event commended the foresight of the committee and encouraged more of the meetings with a view to entrenching unity, peace, and harmony.
Responding , The Deputy Governor of Niger State, Comrade Yakubu Garba, appreciated the stakeholders for their unwavering support. He harped on the importance of peace, unity, and cohesion as a panacea for insecurity, underdevelopment, and unemployment.
Yakubu Garba called on leaders at all levels to key into the vision of Governor in transforming Niger State into a state of envy. He lauded the achievements of Governor Bago while describing him as God-sent to the State.
