On Thursday, the Niger State Ministry of Works and Infrastructural Development gathered to celebrate the remarkable service of Engr. Musa C. Shaba, the outgoing Director of Planning, Research, and Statistics. The ceremony, which held at the Ministry’s headquarters, was attended by distinguished guests, colleagues, friends, and family.
The event had prayer session led by a designated prayer leader, setting the tone for a heartfelt and celebratory ceremony. Professor Takura C. Saidu from the Federal University of Technology, Minna, presented a citation in honor of Engr. Shaba, highlighting his achievements and contributions to the Ministry.
The Permanent Secretary, QS Hassan Baba ETSU, delivered opening remarks, praising Engr. Shaba’s dedication and commitment to the development of Niger State. Goodwill messages poured in from colleagues and dignitaries, acknowledging Engr. Shaba’s tireless efforts in shaping the state’s infrastructure landscape.
Engr. Shaba delivered an emotional response and farewell message, expressing gratitude to his colleagues and the Ministry. A symbolic handing over of notes took place between Engr. Shaba and QS Ashiya Alfa, the incoming Acting Director.
QS Ashiya Alfa offered remarks, pledging to build upon Engr. Shaba’s legacy. A presentation of gifts followed, symbolizing appreciation for Engr. Shaba’s service. The Director of Administration expressed gratitude on behalf of the Ministry, and the ceremony concluded with a closing prayer.
The ceremony was a testament to Engr. Shaba’s impact on the Ministry and Niger State as a whole. His legacy will continue to inspire future generations of leaders and professionals in the field.
