Nigeria @ 66 : AKH-TRACADA Sues for Peace, Urges Support for Tinubu

Anti-Kidnapping, Human Trafficking, Child Abuse and Drug Abuse Initiative (AKH-TRACADA), a foremost Non-Governmental Organisation has called on Nigerians from all walks of life to embrace peace at the period of Nigeriaโ€™s 66 years independence celebration.

AKH-TRACADA also urged Nigerians to support the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as it strives to reposition and retool the economy for better.

In a press statement released in Abuja Thursday, signed by the Founder/National Coordinator of AKH-TRACADA, Primate Belonwu Ezeanyaeche, it tasked Nigerians across the nation to embrace peace, unity, dialogue and responsible citizenship as the nation reflects on its journey and looks toward the future.

According to the statement, โ€œAs nation observes its 66 years Independence celebration, AKH-TRACADA called on Nigerians across the country to embrace peace, unity, dialogue and responsible citizenship as the nation reflects on its journey and looks toward the futureโ€.

AKH-TRACADA congratulates Nigerians on the occasion and urges citizens, community leaders, civil society organizations and government institutions to work together to promote national cohesion and peaceful engagement.

According to the statement, โ€œIndependence Day is an opportunity to reflect on both our achievements and the challenges that remain before us. Whatever our political, ethnic, religious or regional differences, Nigeriaโ€™s future depends on our ability to resolve disagreements peacefully and place the national interest at the centre of public life,โ€ the statement read in part.

AKH-TRACADA also acknowledged the policies and initiatives of the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and called for continued constructive engagement between government and citizens on issues affecting Nigerians, including economic opportunity, security, social welfare and national development.

Ezeanyaeche stressed that support for any government or public policy should be based on informed civic engagement, accountability and measurable outcomes, while citizens should remain free to express their views and participate peacefully in Nigeriaโ€™s democratic process.

โ€œAs the country celebrates its independence, AKH-TRACADA calls on Nigerians to reject violence, hate speech and actions that threaten national peace, and instead promote dialogue, tolerance and respect for the rule of lawโ€ the statement concluded.
