Nisa Premier Hospital, Jabi, Abuja, has strongly denied allegations circulating on social media linking the medical facility to the alleged transactional removal of a young man’s kidney.
The hospital, in a statement issued by its management, described the allegation as false and unfounded, stressing that it neither performed the surgery in question nor had any surgical encounter with the young man at the centre of the controversy.
According to the hospital, its only involvement in the matter was the conduct of a diagnostic ultrasound scan after the young man was brought to the facility by an investigator seeking to establish the condition of his kidneys.
Hospital’s Role Was Diagnostic, Not Surgical
Nisa Premier Hospital explained that the ultrasound examination was conducted specifically to confirm whether the young man had both kidneys.
The service, it said, was paid for by the investigator who brought the individual to the hospital. Following the examination, a professional report was issued, which indicated the absence of the left kidney.
The hospital maintained that the scan was conducted strictly as a diagnostic procedure and had no connection with the alleged surgical removal of the kidney.
It further pointed out that the investigator himself reportedly clarified in the primary video circulating online that Nisa Premier Hospital was only involved in carrying out the scan to establish the condition of the young man’s kidneys.
Hospital Seeks Proper Investigation
While distancing itself from the allegation, the hospital called on relevant authorities to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding the young man’s missing kidney.
Nisa Premier Hospital said it remained ready to cooperate fully with any official investigation aimed at establishing the facts and resolving the matter.
The management reaffirmed its commitment to ethical medical practice, transparency and the provision of quality healthcare services to its patients.
