It is no longer news that Abbas Ibrahim stand tall and much taller in journalism as a profession among his contemporaries for over three good decades serving the humanity at different capacity and at different points in time.
As an echelon and charismatic astute journalist who played a very serious game of changing the narratives in the pen profession, through series of modalities, Abbas Ibrahim remain a name to reckon in Journalism and Unionism in the nation.
He joined the profession late eighties and crave a niche for himself through patience, perseverance, dedication and total commitments to humanitarian service.
This gave rise to his steady rise from grass to grace which ultimately culminated into the apex office of NUJ at Kano State Council after serving at different capacity at Radio Kano and served meritoriously for two consecutive tenure which was marked with series of unprecedented development especially Journalists welfare, Peaceful coexistence among Journalists, synergy of service between the practicing Journalists and Public as well as private institutions all with the aim of serving the public appropriately through total adherence to journalistic ethics and code of conduct.
No doubt Abbas Ibrahim was well known for his easy going approach and his simplicity as well as his astute stand on truth as nothing but truth in the sight and mind of Comrade Abbas Ibrahim.
As how the human being are so dynamic in nature and always interest varies at different points yet when it come to the table of Abbas Ibrahim he usually employed his tactical approaches and experiences in his Journalistic surjoun and instantly solved the differences
This and many other testifications especially our journey to 2024 National Delegate conference where we criss crossed and zig-zaged the nation canvassing the supports and votes for A+A to the apex National Office.
Hence, Abba’s Potentialities where fully recognized as he was made the Coordinator of A+A North West Campaign while I deputized him.
The system moved and zoomed up positively up to the time of the delegate conference at Owerri where the pen professionals ushered in Comrade Alhassan Yahaya and Dr Abimbola Oyetunde as President and Deputy National President respectively along other National Executives.
This absolute trust is what triggered the National Executives to add another feather at the top most Cap of Comrade Abbas Ibrahim just to continue with these wider experiences in Journalism administration and Unionism management, hence they crowned his with the prestigious National Trustee position which is the apex non-elective position in our Great Union.
With this appointment so many practicing Journalists in the North West and beyond were overwhelmingly and highly delighted and elated with this appointment which many believed has come at a right time where the National Executives would use the wealthy experiences of Abbas Ibrahim in moving our Great Union forward.
To the National Executives, we salutes your visionary leadership style by beaming your search lights and single out Comrade Abbas Ibrahim for this onerous task,as we are very sure and assured of your total Zeal passion, compassion and commitmenta for the overall developments of the Union and it’s members.
