The Member representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Chinedu Ogah, OON, has commended the Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, for his people-oriented policies in workers’ welfare, education, and infrastructural development.
In a statement issued in Abakaliki, Hon. Ogah described the governor’s recent approval of an additional ₦20,000 across board to the salaries of civil and public servants as a bold step that reaffirms his administration’s commitment to the welfare of workers in line with the People’s Charter of Needs.

The lawmaker also lauded the governor for advancing education through the award of scholarships to 140 prospective students of the ICT University, Oferekpe, in Izzi Local Government Area.
He noted that the initiative, which benefits 10 students from each of the 13 local government areas and 10 from the host community, will empower Ebonyi youths with ICT-driven skills needed for global competitiveness.
Ogah further praised the ongoing remodeling of the Ebonyi State Library to international standards, describing it as a visionary investment that will boost research, digital literacy, and innovation across the state.
He urged civil servants in the state to reciprocate the governor’s gesture by rededicating themselves to duty and ensuring effective service delivery to the people.
While assuring Governor Nwifuru of the unwavering support of his constituents, Hon. Ogah pledged continued collaboration with the state government to deliver dividends of democracy to the people of Ebonyi State.
