PDP NEC Passes Vote of Confidence in Damagun, Anyanwu, Others

The National Executive Council (NEC) of the Peoples Democratic Party has passed an implicit vote of confidence in the National Working Committee of the party led by Amb Iliya Damagun.
In a unanimous resolution, the NEC applauded both the Acting National Chairman, Amb Iliya Damagun and the National Secretary, Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu for piloting the affairs of the party so far.
As an expression of satisfaction for their resolute and proactive leadership, the NEC approved that Amb Iliya Damagun should continue to precise over the party in acting capacity till further notice.
The vote of confidence in Amb Iliya Damagun and Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu has rested and doused tension, hidden altercations and open agitations regarding the position of the Acting National Chairman and members of the National Working Committee of the party.
An insider source reports that the decision of the NEC to allow Amb Iliya Damagun to continue was to avoid any breach of constitution, owing to the fact that the party is currently facing two Governorship elections, in Edo and Ondo states respectively.
