The Chairman Governing Board of Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic, Birnin Kebbi, Hon. Shehu Muhammad (Wamban Koko) has expressed happiness over the remarkable achievements recorded by Kebbi State Government under His Excellency, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwnadu.
He stated this when he led members of the Governing Board of Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic on a courtesy visit on the governor at Government House in Birnin Kebbi.
He said the sincere commitment of the governor had remained inspiring and motivating which deserved special commendation.
The Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr Usman Tunga, appreciated the existing cordial relationship between the institution and the state government.
He also extolled the benovalence of the governor to the Polytechnic, citing the patronage it enjoyed for the capacity building of its personnel, among other commendable gesture.
The rector also acknowledged the support the institution had been receiving from the governor during its convocation programme.
Responding, the Kebbi State Governor, Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, assured that he would remain resolute to the development and growth of the state in all sectors.
According to the governor, he will do everything humanly possible to sustain the ongoing trajectory of progress and betterment already set in motion by his administration since ascension to power one year ago.
Gov. Idris maintained that he would never waiver or stray from the path he had taken to provide the direly needed dividends of democracy to the generality of the people of Kebbi.
He said, “I have started well and I will continue to do so on the right track In Sha Allah, we will continue to do our best to squarely address all the challenges our people are facing.”
The governor informed his guests about other successfully executed projects in the state as well as policy implementation, including the recent approval for the recruitment of 2,000 teachers.
This, he said, was to provide enough teachers especially to primary and secondary schools as the cradle of education.
Dr Idris said all sectors in the state had received requisite attention especially security which had now improved significantly.
