Senator Kenneth Emeka Eze, representing Ebonyi Central Senatorial District and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Information and National Orientation, has reiterated his unwavering dedication to cultural preservation and agricultural revitalisation during the 2025 Okeaku Ezza Ezekuna Festival.
In a goodwill message addressed to traditional rulers, elders, and the entire sons and daughters of Ezza Ezekuna, Senator Eze expressed profound joy over the celebration of what he described as “one of the most revered and ancient cultural events in Ebonyi State.”

“Okeaku Festival is not just a cultural event. It is a proud symbol of our shared heritage, agricultural prowess, communal identity, and a profound gratitude to God,” he stated.
Senator Eze emphasised that the festival stands as a living legacy of the wisdom of Ezza forebears, the dignity of labour, and the enduring bond between the people and their ancestral land.
He called on all Ezza people, both at home and in the diaspora, to continue upholding and promoting the festival with pride and dignity, stressing its importance in sustaining communal unity and identity.
As part of his legislative focus, the Senator highlighted his commitment to advancing policies that support sustainable agriculture, empower rural communities, and preserve cultural values.
“As your son and representative in the Senate, I will continue to advocate for programmes and policies that uplift our people and ensure that our traditions and values are not only celebrated but also protected and enhanced,” he assured.
Senator Eze concluded by offering prayers for peace, unity, renewed hope, and prosperity in every Ezza household, wishing all celebrants a joyful and safe festival.
In a heartfelt traditional salute, he declared:
“Ezza Ezekuna anyi abo ooh! Awhua l’aburu anyi awhua oma! ”(A salute of unity and blessings to the people of Ezza Ezekuna).
