Chief David Kente, a Governorship aspirant under the APC in Taraba has said that the the party will win the Governorship election in the state.
Kente made the declaration on Wednesday while reacting to the judgement by the Supreme court which nullified the APC primary held in the state.
The Secretary of the David Kente Governorship Campaign Organisation, Shuaibu Ataka disclose this while briefing newsmen in Jalingo on behalf of Chief Kente commended the supreme court justices for giving a sound judgement.
“The judgement would serve as a lesson to politicians who felt the society should continue with it’s old draconian ways.
He expressed optimism that David Kente would win the ticket of the party, expressing his readiness to go into a fresh primary election.
The Kente camp called on the APC supporters in the state to remain calm and wait for the decision of the party’s national headquarters.
The five man jurists at the Supreme Court earlier nullified the emergence of Sen. Emmanuel Bwacha on the ground that there was no party primary election held in the state.
The supreme court therefore, upheld the judgement of the Federal High Court Jalingo which ordered the party to conduct a fresh primary election for Governorship within 14 days.
Recalls that Bwacha approached Court of Apeal Yola Division which earlier set aside the judgement of the federal High Court Jalingo.
Meanwhile, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha camp has said that they are well prepared for another primaries and their candidate will win again.
The Spokes person for Bwacha Gubernatorial Campaign Organization, Mr Aaron Artimas said:
“We were not detered by the supreme court rulling which ordered for fresh primaries.
“Senator Emmanuel Bwacha is an established candidate in All progressive congress in Taraba state and have structures all over the state which is a clear indication that he will going to win the primaries when ever it is conducted.
“Senator Emmanuel Bwacha is not a paper candidate but a real candidate and has the support and backing of all members of All progressive congress in Taraba state.
“We in Bwacha’s camp will wait for instructions from the National secretariate of All progressive congress on the conduct of the primaries either direct or indirect but it is clear that senator Bwacha is going to win the primaries.
” Senator Bwacha has good intention for Taraba state and people of the state are aware of his good intention and zeal to develop the state” he said.
