In a Press Statement issued by his Media Consultant, Chief Oliver Okpala, he stated that the projects would
be funded solely by Prince Eze in line with his Corporate Social Responsibility Principles.
He declared that “This singular act
of philanthropy and benevolence is not coming through the instrumentality
of government’s infrastructure but
by the intervention of a well known
philanthropist and Oil Merchant,
Prince Arthur Eze.
“In the first phase of his
determination to ensure that indigenes
of Enugu State and Nigerians resident in Enugu benefit from basic necessity of life, Prince Eze has awarded contracts for the drilling of super water boreholes in Enugu worth billions of naira.
The statement further said that the Philanthropist has engaged water engineers to provide the boreholes in major areas in Enugu town including Coal Camp Abakpa, New
Haven Awkunanaw, Garki, Trans Ekulu and other areas.
Chief Okpala explains that in
the first phase of the project, the
engineers have discovered and struck an ocean of water under the earth at Emene Industrial Layout which can comfortably provide water for residents of the area including the International Airport.
Prince Arthur Eze recently commissioned a road which he constructed for residents of Nike and the Anglican Church within the area.
