The newly sworn in chairmen of the sixteen local government of Taraba has been charge to see their emergence as a trust entrusted to them with the responsibility to steer their communities towards progress and development.
Taraba Governor Dr Agbu Kefas gave the charge while swearing in the newly elected chairmen at the Gym Hall, Jolly Nyame Stadium, Jalingo.

“You should have a pivotal role in the implementation of the five-finger agenda set forth by this administration.
“As custodian of public trust, you should lead with integrity and diligence.
According to the Governor, two years tenure is a valuable window of opportunities to make an impact, and added that the Chairmen must work tirelessly to bring about positive change.
He encouraged them to embrace technology to enhance governance and leverage digital solutions for improved service delivery, data management, and communication with the public as it will make information accessible.
He further enjoined them to collaborate with neighboring local government areas to foster unity, and knowledge sharing to address regional challenges.
The Governor also tasks them to invest in capacity building of the staff as well as trained personnel to contribute to the achievement of set goals.
He made a case for the development of regularly updated contingent plans for disaster management.
Responding the Chairman of Jalingo local government area of Taraba State Alhaji Aminu Hassan Jauro assured the Governor of their readiness to serve.
He express their profound appreciation to the Governor,Dr. Agbu Kefas, for his instrumental role in fostering a peaceful and successful Local Government Elections in the State.
“We acknowledge the unwavering support and the platform you have graciously provided, enabling us to emerge as Chairmen-Elect for the sixteen Local Government Councils.
“Your leadership and mentorship have been pivotal, and I find us profoundly indebted to your guidance. The trust you have placed in us is not taken lightly, and we are committed to serving the residents of our respective local governments with dedication and diligence.
“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the entire PDP family and the stakeholders of our respective local governments for their invaluable roles throughout the election process.
“Your collective efforts before, during, and after my election exemplify the unity and solidarity that define the essence of the PDP family.
“We are humbled by the overwhelming support, commitment, and mobilization demonstrated by our supporters, associates, friends, and the entire populace of our respective Local Government Councils.
” Words fail to capture the depth of our gratitude for your tireless efforts that culminated in our election as the Chairmen.
“As we embark on this journey together, I implore your continued support in the transformation and revitalization of our respective Local Government Councils.

Justice Nuhu Adi of the state High Court administered the oath of office on the new Chairmen on behalf of the state Acting Chief Judge.
