Taraba Killings: No investor will risk his resources to invest in a crisis infested environment – Solomon

The Bishop of The Crown of Life Bible Church, Jalingo, Taraba State, Rt. Rev. Dr. Innocent Ribiruka Solomon has express dismay on the recent killings in Ussa, Takum local governments and Yangtu Development Area.
In a statement issued to Journalists in jalingo, he condemn the act carried out by some group of people who don’t mean well for the state and county at large. The statement reads,
“These communities in question are some of the most vibrant communities and productive population in Taraba State with a high fertile and vast ancestral Lands that have brought huge economic boom to the state.
“From these communities a myriad of stars, work force and manpower have been produced not only in Taraba state and for this nation but even in diaspora.
“With the early advent of missionary activities in the area, education, social engineering and development were at the front burner early enough that have benefited our state, the nation and humanity.
“The endless circle of bloody violence and conflicts and the deliberate and carefully orchestrated attacks that are meted on these communities remains a catastrophic experience not only for these communities but for the state, the nation and the larger community.
“Already the nation is experiencing her lowest economic output with devastating consequences on the the entire population.
According to him, the Nigerian population is in deep hunger and experiencing her worse economic moments.
“This is what must inform government’s urgent, strategic, deliberate and concerted efforts both at the state and Federal levels to address this genocidal evil happening in some parts of Southern Taraba.
“We can’t afford to watch this heinous crime against our productive, vibrant, promising population continue.
He call on the State government under the able leadership of His Excellency Governor Agbu Kefas PhD to act decisively.
“The need to urgently address holistically and stem this unacceptable crisis cannot be overstated.
“No investor will risk his resources to invest in a crisis infested environment.
“Not only that we are already at risk of loosing more of our human resources and capital for the dare need for development but our natural endowment will remain untapped due to investor apathy.
He also call on the Federal Government to support and throw her weight fully in dealing with the massacre once and for all.
“Every life should be protected as a mandatory constitutional responsibility.
He appeal to stakeholders at all levels to show deep concern, solidarity and support to end the continuous massacre going in these areas.
“Religious bodies in the State (CAN & MUSLIM COUNCIL) should continue to lend their voices and furthermore to coordinate efforts to assist government to strengthen surveillance, identify and expose criminal elements and to continue to give moral education to our population in view of the risk of impending God’s judgement upon wickedness of society – the statement concluded.
