The outgoing Brigade Commander of the six Brigade, Nigeria Army, Jalingo, Major General Frank S. Etim has appreciated the Taraba State Government, Tarabans and Men of the Six Brigade for their cooperation during his tennur as the Brigade Commander in Jalingo.

He disclose this at the headquarters, while handing over the affairs to the new Brigade Commander, Brigadier General Kingsley Uwa
“Taraba State is very Challenging, but with the cooperation of the state government, Tarabans and Men of the Six Brigade, we were able to tackle the situation.
“I urge you to extend same support to the in coming Brigade Commander.
He further urged the soldiers to continue in the resilience to fight till the monster bedeviling the state was conquered.
He thanked them for their cooperation in ensuring Taraba was better than when they came.
” I want to thank you for your cooperation and support in fighting against banditry, kidnapping and other forms of criminality in the state during my tenure.
“I also wish to thank the Taraba State Government and the people of the state for their support that enable us to succeed in our operations.
” We do most of our things in good conscience and professionally.
He said that his one year and six months stay has come to an end and he is handing over to another good infantry officer, and a member of our crocodile family.
” I expect you to give him every support so that he can consolidate on our gains and even do more.
“My stay in Taraba had been very eventful, we came at a time when the state was bedeviled with crisis but with the support of the government and the indigenes we had been able to summaunt the security challenges in the state,” he said.
In his response, the new Brigade Commander, Brigadier General Kingsley Uwa, assured that he would sustain the legacies of the former commander.
He gave assurances that troops under his watch would not relent on their oars until all criminal elements within the state are been flushed out from their enclaves and force to embrace peace.
Our Correspondent reports that Gen. Uwa until his redeployment to Taraba State, he was the commander of Operation Hadarin Daji in the North West Nigeria.
