The Founder and President of the Unity in Diversity Foundation, Barr. (Dr.) Joyce Adeshewa Njoku, has described the appointment of Senator Abdulaziz Yari as the Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid as a strategic and well-deserved choice.

Njoku, while congratulating the former Zamfara State Governor on his appointment, said the decision reflects the confidence reposed in Yari’s leadership capacity, political experience and ability to mobilise stakeholders towards the achievement of the campaign’s objectives.
According to her, Yari’s wealth of experience in governance, politics and grassroots mobilisation places him in a strong position to provide the leadership and coordination required for a successful campaign.

She noted that the appointment has also assumed greater significance because of Yari’s role as the Grand Patron of the 2027 Women Leaders Winning Team, describing the position as a demonstration of his commitment to encouraging women to take their rightful place in Nigeria’s political and democratic development.
“Senator Abdulaziz Yari’s emergence as Director-General is a well-deserved appointment. It is a clear reflection of the confidence that the leadership of the party has in his capacity, experience and ability to deliver,” Njoku said.
She added that his role as Grand Patron of the 2027 Women Leaders Winning Team further underscores the importance he attaches to women’s participation in leadership and nation-building.
Njoku stressed that women constitute a significant force in Nigeria’s political landscape and should not merely be seen as supporters during electioneering campaigns, but as active participants and decision-makers in the political process.
She said the 2027 Women Leaders Winning Team remains committed to promoting inclusive leadership and mobilising women across the country to participate actively in the democratic process.
“We believe that women must be given greater opportunities to contribute meaningfully to governance and national development. The support of leaders such as Senator Yari is important in advancing this vision,” she stated.
The Unity in Diversity Foundation boss expressed optimism that Yari would bring his political experience, organisational skills, strategic thinking and leadership qualities to bear on the campaign for President Tinubu’s re-election.
She also called on Nigerians, particularly women and youths, to support the administration’s development agenda and participate actively in the democratic process.
Njoku urged women and youths across the country to unite and work towards a stronger, more inclusive Nigeria, stressing that their collective participation would be critical to shaping the country’s political future.
She further called on Nigerians to massively support and re-elect President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election, expressing confidence that continuity in governance would provide an opportunity to consolidate ongoing reforms and developmental initiatives.
She congratulated Senator Yari once again on his appointment and wished him success in his new responsibility, urging him to use the opportunity to promote unity, inclusiveness and effective political mobilisation across the country.
