There was a wide jubilation in Ngor Okpala LGA, especially among party faithful on Tuesday as Hon Jeff Emeka Nwachukwu picked his nomination and expression of interest forms for the Ngor Okpala State Assembly Seat under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Nwachukwu who was until recently, a chieftain of the PDP, picked the APC nomination form after consultation with critical leaders in the party.

He obtained the form at the party’s state Secretariat, Owerri, the Imo State capital in company of some party members, associates and friends.
The news of his picking APC State Assembly form was said to have caused wild jubilation by his huge supporters, who have been putting suffocating pressure on him to leave the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Our correspondent in Owerri gathered that Nwachukwu grassroot support base in Ngor Okpala LGA is solid, comprising youths, women, as well as indigents.
He enjoys support across political divides, no wonder his defection to the ruling APC was seen as a strategic move to actualise his political aspiration.
Jeff Emeka Nwachukwu who hails from Umuneke, Ngor autonomous community is from Okwe political bloc, an APC dominant zone as well as the headquarters of Ngor Okpala Council Area.
It was gathered that the people of Okwe Court Area had made several attempts to have a shot at the State Assembly but were always schemed out in the process.
Many are of the view that Nwachukwu’s expression of interest to contest the State Assembly Seat come 2027 might be the right timing for him, our correspondent reports.
