AKURE — Ondo State is set for a major political rally on Tuesday, October 20, as Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa is expected to receive High Chief Government Oweizidei Thomas Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, when the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement takes its 2027 mobilisation campaign to the state.

The movement will formally inaugurate its Ondo State structure and distribute campaign vehicles and materials at an event scheduled for Democracy Park, Akure.

According to organisers, the programme will begin at noon and will bring together leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), party stakeholders, grassroots mobilisers and supporters of President Bola Tinubu.

The Southwest Coordinator of the movement, Orisamoluwa Adekunle, announced the Ondo rollout in a statement, urging supporters across the state to turn out en masse.

Adekunle said the Akure inauguration is designed to strengthen the movement’s grassroots network and expand its activities across all parts of Ondo State ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

“The Ondo rollout will strengthen our grassroots network and expand our activities across the state ahead of the 2027 presidential election,” Adekunle said.

He explained that the campaign vehicles and other materials to be distributed would provide logistical support for the movement’s direct engagement with residents in communities, wards and local government areas.

According to him, the group plans to take its campaign message directly to eligible voters while encouraging greater participation in the electoral process.

“The vehicles will help our coordinators reach more communities and take our message directly to the people,” he added.

The coordinator noted that the inauguration would also provide a platform for party leaders and grassroots organisers to discuss strategies for expanding the movement’s reach and deepening its door-to-door approach.

The expected reception of Tompolo by Governor Aiyedatiwa, he said, is part of the programme and reflects growing cooperation among stakeholders supporting President Tinubu’s re-election bid.

“The expected reception for Tompolo by Governor Aiyedatiwa reflects cooperation among stakeholders supporting President Tinubu’s re-election,” Adekunle stated.

He said the movement remains committed to taking its activities beyond political meetings and conference halls into communities across Ondo State.

Adekunle described the inauguration as a critical step towards strengthening grassroots mobilisation and communicating what he called the achievements and future plans of the Tinubu administration.

The Ondo event is part of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement’s nationwide state-level rollouts as part of its campaign structure for the 2027 election. Its model, according to organisers, involves coordinators and grassroots organisers working across states, local governments and wards.

Adekunle urged APC members and supporters of President Tinubu in Ondo State to attend the Akure event and actively participate in the mobilisation activities.

He said the movement would sustain its grassroots engagement as preparations for the 2027 presidential election gather momentum.
