- Says, He’s Yet To Recover From Electoral Defeat
- Chidi Nwagwu
Following media report credited to a former PDP House of Assembly Aspirant for Ideato North, Franklin Ngoforo describing the Governorship ambition of Senator Samuel Anyanwu as inordinate, immoral, divisive and completely out of place, a legal luminary and PDP stalwart, Barr Gerry Egbuhuzor has lambasted him for making such outrageous statement.
Barr Egbuhuzor described Ngoforo as not only suffering from the diarrhea of the mouth and lacking in knowledge, but very empty with the provisions of the PDP constitution and the Electoral Act respectively regarding conducts of office seekers.
According to him, the behavior of Ngoforo shows that he is yet to come out from the defeat he suffered during PDP primaries, adding that his uncoordinated conduct is the major reason members of PDP in Ideato North, his home LGA rejected him.
The Owerri zone born party chieftain said that instead of Ngoforo to cover his face in shame for not securing up to 5 votes during the primaries due to the fact that he is not on ground, he was busy struggling to hide under his frivolous media attacks against Senator Anyanwu to be politically relevant.
Barr Egbuhuzor, a renowned Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria therefore warned Ngoforo to desist from maligning party leaders, pointing out that toeing such part would never do him any good but will only reduce the level of trust people have for him.
While describing as unwarranted, unfounded and ridiculous the call by, Ngoforo that Senator Anyanwu should withdraw his ambition simply to pave way for Emeka Ihedioha, his political God-father. Ngoforo should know that Imo people have gone beyond entitlement mentality and uncontrollable desperation for power which his preferred Governorship aspirant is known for.
“I want to advise Ngoforo to watch his tongues and moderate the way he uses libelous words to blackmail his party’s National Secretary; if at all Ngoforo is learned enough, he would have known that his actions amount to anti party and requires necessary sanction. He can do better to project his preferred Governorship aspirant than to insult other party leaders who have invested heavily on the party to guarantee victory”
The party Chieftain therefore expressed regret that at Ngoforo’s level, he was yet to know that the National Secretary of PDP is expected to join other members of the National Working Committee in campaigning for the party’s Presidential standard bearer, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar rather than dividing himself into two when there is an already existing working committee of the party in the state.
