2023 General Elections : Ensure Peaceful and Hitch Free Polls…Pst Dayo Olutayo (GTBCI)

Ahead of the 2023 General Elections and with barely two weeks Count Down to February 25th 2023, Political Parties, Politicians, Media Stakeholders in the country have been advised to ensure that the polls are conducted peacefully, free, fair without rancour nor blood letting.

The Senior Pastor Good Tidings Bible Church International, (GTBCI) Abuja, Pastor Dayo Olutayo made the appeal on Sunday 12th February 2023, at a Special National Prayer Day for Peaceful Conduct of the 2023 General Elections.

The Special Service had in attendance Politicians, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) representative, CSOs and members of the congregation among other Stakeholders.

Pastor Olutayo described Nigeria as a leading light of the world’s black population that must take its rightful place in the league of nations adding that Nigeria must fulfil its purpose of being a nation of prosperity, opportunity and progress despite our diversity.

The Clergyman enjoined “the political class not to see politics as a do or die affair but a call to service and to restore the lost glory of our Country”.

To the teeming youths, Pastor Dayo Olutayo while acknowledging that they have been neglected in the scheme of things, cautioned them against being tools to be used by politicians to cause mayhem pointing out that Nigeria is their inheritance.

He therefore, appealed to the authorities to reintroduce the teaching of History subject and make same compulsory in all schools and tertiary institutions adding that this will foster unity and understanding among different people and cultures. Pastor Olutayo led the congregation in prayers for a peaceful election and for God to restore our lost glory as a nation.
