ABUJA, NIGERIA — The Coalition of Civil Society Groups (CCSG) for Peace, Security, Good Governance, Equity, and Justice, under the leadership of Comrade James Okoronkwo, extends its warmest felicitations to the Executive Governor of Kebbi State, His Excellency, Comrade (Dr.) Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu), on the monumental success of the 61st Argungu International Fishing and Cultural Festival.

The revival of this UNESCO-recognized cultural heritage, after a long hiatus, is an eloquent testimony that the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, is not just a policy document, but a living reality that is restoring the pride, economy, and social fabric of the Nigerian people.
We particularly wish to celebrate the visionary leadership of Governor Nasir Idris for the delivery of 10 Legacy Projects commissioned by Mr. President during this historic visit. These projects—ranging from the ultra-modern Bola Ahmed Tinubu State Secretariat and the Birnin Kebbi Central Motor Park to critical township road networks—represent a masterclass in purposeful governance. They stand as a “Budget of Transformation” in action, proving that Kebbi State has become the North-West’s epicenter for infrastructural excellence.
The presence of Mr. President in Argungu today sends a clear message: that under the current administration, our traditional institutions and cultural assets are valued as pillars of national unity. The CCSG notes with pride that the synergy between the Federal Government and the Kebbi State Government has created a secure and vibrant environment that attracted thousands of local and international visitors this week.
Furthermore, we commend the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mallam Yahaya Sarki, and the entire media directorate for their tireless work in projecting this success to the world. Their effective media coverage has ensured that the “Kauran Gwandu” revolution is recognized as a benchmark for other states to follow.
The CCSG remains committed to supporting leaders who prioritize peace, security, and the welfare of the common man. Governor Nasir Idris has proven to be a “General of Development,” and we stand in total solidarity with his administration as he continues to drive the wheels of equity and justice in the Land of Equity.
Signed:
