FCT Education Secretariat Celebrates Director of Quality Assurance on National Honour

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Education Secretariat has congratulated one of its distinguished officers, the Director of the Department of Quality Assurance (DQA), Hajiya Hajarat Titilayo Alayande, on her recognition as a recipient of the prestigious 8th Nigeria Silent Heroes Award.

Hajiya Alayande received the Silent Hero in Education Award during a colourful ceremony held in Abuja in recognition of her outstanding dedication, exemplary leadership, and invaluable contributions to strengthening quality assurance and advancing educational standards in the Federal Capital Territory.

Speaking shortly after receiving the award, Hajiya Alayande expressed profound appreciation to the organisers for recognising the efforts of the Department of Quality Assurance in promoting and sustaining high standards in the teaching and learning process across schools in the FCT.

She noted that the Department has continued to play a strategic role in ensuring compliance with educational standards, improving teaching quality, and supporting the implementation of policies aimed at delivering quality education throughout the Territory.

According to her, the award, which celebrates distinguished Nigerians whose selfless service, exceptional leadership, and remarkable contributions have positively impacted society and national development, serves as a great source of encouragement to redouble her efforts in advancing the Department’s mandate and contributing meaningfully to the growth of the education sector.

She also called on well-meaning individuals and organisations to complement the efforts of the FCT Administration in supporting educational development and other critical sectors across the Territory.

Hajiya Hajarat Titilayo Alayande was honoured alongside other eminent Nigerians, including the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, the Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Olatubosun Oluyede, and several other distinguished personalities from diverse sectors of the nation’s economy.

Congratulating the award recipient, the Director of the FCT Education Resource Centre (ERC), Dr. Neemat Daud Abdulrahim, described the honour as well deserved and a fitting recognition of Hajiya Alayande’s unwavering commitment to excellence, professionalism, and quality assurance in education.

Dr. Abdulrahim stated that Hajiya Alayande’s dedication to promoting educational standards continues to inspire colleagues and stakeholders within and beyond the education sector. She added that the FCT Education Secretariat is proud to be associated with her achievements and wished her greater success in her future endeavours.

The highlight of the well-attended ceremony was the presentation of awards to the recipients in the presence of prominent dignitaries, government officials, and notable leaders from across the country, making the event a memorable celebration of excellence, patriotism, and selfless service.
