Item Amagu Community Vows to Re-elect Gov. Nwifuru, Rep. Ogah in 2027

The people of Item Amagu in Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, one of the largest communities in the state, at the weekend vowed to re-elect Governor Francis Nwifuru and the member representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Chinedu Ogah, in the 2027 general elections.

The community, which staged a solidarity rally in honour of the two leaders, said Item Amagu has witnessed unprecedented development since the emergence of Nwifuru as governor and Ogah as their federal representative.

Residents marched through major parts of the community, chanting solidarity songs and declaring their support for the governor and the lawmaker.

The National President of the community, Michael Chukwu, a retired Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), said Hon. Ogah had delivered numerous developmental projects that speak for him as the 2027 elections draw near.

“We are here on solidarity for Rt. Hon. Chinedu Ogah, member representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency. We applaud his works his pivotal achievements in this ward, Ikwo, and Ebonyi State in general. He has brought a lot of development to this place.

“You can see the market here, the town hall, the hospital, the school, and ongoing road construction. We want him to continue with his developmental projects. We are with him and will continue to stand with him,” he said.

Another stakeholder, Chief Boniface Mkpuma, described Hon. Ogah as a selfless leader whose impact on the people is undeniable.

“Chinedu Ogah has done noble. He gave jobs to our children even my own son benefited. He cares for the downtrodden. He has given scholarships, motorcycles and tricycles to our youths. We support him in the morning, afternoon and evening. He is a great leader and we want him to continue,” he said.

Women of the community, including Mrs. Christiana Nwonu and Mrs. Mercy, also praised the lawmaker for his contributions to their welfare.

They said Hon. Ogah helped many women quit menial jobs, provided fertilizers during farming seasons, paid school fees, registered WAEC and NECO for their children, built markets and health facilities, and settled hospital bills for the indigent.

“There is nothing he is not doing for us. Anytime you call him, even at midnight, he answers. He paid JAMB fees for all our children. He gives jobs to graduates. The women of Ndiegu Amegu Ward 11 say he will return to the House and continue to represent us,”
