Children who were intercepted from the hands of traffickers, have been reunited with their parents. Wife of the Taraba State governor, Mrs. Agyin Agbu Kefas, in company with Secretary to Taraba State Government, Barr Gee-Tee kataps, reunites over 365 trafficked children with their family members, donates drugs, clothes, food items and cash to the victims.
She celebrate the reunion and reintegration of over 365 children who were trafficked and intercepted.
“Their reunion and return to their family is a thing of joy to the community.
On their part, the victims families expressing joy at their children’s return, the victim’s families commended the state government NAPTIP and state task force for their commitment toward tackling human trafficking.
“This development shows that we have functional government institutions.
In another development, the Wife of the Taraba State governor Mrs. Agyin Agbu Kefas, has empowered 50 Taraba Women Across 24 Constituency of Taraba state through the wives of their members with the sum of one hundred thousand naira each as grants to start up menial businesses.
Mrs. Agyin Agbu Kefas, who hosted the beneficiaries in her office along side the wives of Taraba State House of Assembly Members provided the funds for the 50 beneficiaries.
She stressed that it is important to empower women because they require very little capital to grow their businesses and such empowerment is sure to affect the whole family and even the community.
