LESPADA Executive Director Condoles NAWOJ National Secretary Over Mother’s Demise

The Executive Director of the League for Societal Protection Against Drug Abuse (LESPADA), Ambassador Maryam Hassan, has paid a condolence visit to the National Secretary of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Comrade Wasilah I. Ladan, following the passing of her beloved mother.

During the visit, Ambassador Hassan expressed her heartfelt sympathy to Comrade Ladan and her family, describing the loss of a mother as one of life’s most painful experiences. She prayed for Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased, grant her eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus, and bestow strength, comfort, and fortitude on the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.

The LESPADA Executive Director also acknowledged the immense contributions of Comrade Ladan to journalism and nation-building, urging her to remain steadfast and take solace in the cherished memories of her late mother, whose legacy of love, care, and sacrifice will continue to inspire generations.

Responding, Comrade Wasilah I. Ladan expressed profound appreciation to Ambassador Maryam Hassan and the entire LESPADA family for the thoughtful condolence visit, prayers, and words of encouragement. She noted that the support received from friends, colleagues, and well-wishers has been a great source of strength during this difficult period.

The visit further underscored the spirit of compassion, solidarity, and mutual support among women leaders and civil society organizations, reaffirming the enduring bond between LESPADA and the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists.
