May Day : Hold APC Responsible Anyanwu tells Labour Unions

May Day: Anyanwu Charges Labour Unions to Hold APC Responsible for Members’ Plight in Nigeria

  • Felicitates with Workers all over the globe on 2023 Celebration

Peoples Democratic Party Governorship Candidate in Imo state, Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu charges the leadership of organized Labour to hold APC responsible for the pitiable condition of some of its members in various states of the federation, expressing worry that if left unattended to may dampen their performance.

Anyanwu regrets that despite the enormous contribution of workers in the improvement of the economy, APC administration and its agents are doing everything possible to scuttle their efforts for a better society.

According to him, it is inhuman and uncivilized for APC government to treat workers’ welfare with disdain, noting that until its administration is sacked and sent packing, it will be impossible for Workers to access or enjoy their genuine benefits.

The PDP Governorship standard bearer notes that since part of organized Labour’s primary roles is to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of an average working class, create awareness about their rights, and protect them from exploitation, harassment and intimidation, its leadership should immediately work towards achieving the feat.

He commended workers all over the world for being humble, dedicated and meticulous to their father land, and charges government in all levels to make their welfare a major priority in their programme..

While congratulating them on the occasion of year 2023 international workers’ day celebration, Anyanwu therefore condemns in its entirety, the challenging experience Workers are undergoing in Nigeria as a result of APC bad governance, abuse of human rights and neglect to international best practices, also urges them to remain prayerful that such distasteful situation they are currently witnessing will be a thing of the past.

Happy International Workers Day Celebration!
